the 3 months mission
I was given an assignment to work with this oil & gas company at uk. Departure date on 6 Oct and this is my first experience going outside malaysia. Also my 1st experience staying wake for 13 hours in flight, bored to death.
Then everything went smoothly when i reached Heathrow. Alhamdullilah no problems, from the immigration to the customs. But i felt a bit lost, its like you got the feeling you in an alien world. But to my surprise, while I’m waiting for my taxi driver, I was greet by this malay guy. Found out this guy was coming from Birminghim and he wating for his friend from Malaysia who was in the same flight with me. I was really excited seeting other malay, funny isn’t it?
Then it took around 20 minutes from Heathrow to Reading. I’ll be staying in Holiday Inn reading for 3 months (aghh mimpi ngeri betul). The only things i hate about this hotel…
- super expensive internet connection, since the hotel management outsource it to the 3rd party.
- ultra expensive laundry service. Eventhough I can claim, but its not worth it just to get ur underwear clean with 2.86 pounds per underwear ( what the fuck ).
